About Me
I was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I attended Western Carolina University before striking out for Key West, working on boats in the Bahamas, and experiencing adventures of a lifetime which resulted in my memoir. During my venturesome life, I was a ski instructor, sea kayak guide, inn operator for outdoor enthusiasts, and house flipper for over fifty years. With my sometimes husband and little deaf dog Hopi, I live in an ancient house in Camden, South Carolina and a log cabin on the shoulder of Mount Mitchell.
My MemoirIn 1968, why did a gently raised southern girl quit college, run away to sea, and join a scurvy crew of pirates, searching for sunken treasure and running contraband?
